VSCO Artist Initiative™
Launched in 2014, VSCO Artist Initiative™ was a grant program that provided artists with the resources to pursue their creative vision. The Initiative funded over 30 artist projects, ranging from documentaries to stop motion films to fine art. We were a small team, led by Jen Schmitz, who did an excellent job supporting the artists and organizing the fund. Joakim Jansson provided art direction and design. I'm incredibly proud of this program, and the diverse projects created by the talented artists, some of which I've highlighted below.

Amy Lombard documented unique, sub-cultural meet-ups.
Prairie Stuart-Wolff's project "Cultivated Days" explored washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine).
Mossless, the independent art publication by Artist Initiative contributer Romke Hoogwaerts.
From the series "A Creative Space," highlighting the workspaces of artists.
Marianna Jamadi captured dancers at the Centro Ciudad Móvil, a cultural center that promotes human development, social inclusion, and arts education.
Scott Turner documented nomadic horsemen in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.
Animator Sean Pecknold created a stop-motion film entitled "The Unknown."
