Half & Half
My mother is Chinese, my father Caucasian. Growing up, my Popo (Grandma) Ching would always lament how haole (literally, white) I looked. "So sad, so sad."
When I walk the streets of Asia, I feel that. I know that I will never fit in, but roaming the streets taking photos allows me to participate, to be a part of it.
I almost feel like I belong.
